Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to assist the Project Management Team in coordinating with departments and vendors for successful project implementation in Malaysia. The role focuses on meeting customer needs, managing schedules, and ensuring profitable project outcomes.

The candidate should have a degree in Engineering with 7–10 years in enterprise/IT project management, strong leadership and bilingual communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering fields or equivalent with minimum 7-10 years experience in enterprise/IT and turnkey data centre site prep.
• Strong knowledge in project management techniques and good communications skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written skills both in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Management Team to coordinate with other departments to secure resources needed for projects under supervision.
• Understand customer needs to achieve project goals and high customer satisfaction.
• Participate in project meetings with various customers under supervision.
• Assist schedules implementation for smooth project flow and timely delivery.
• Deliver set profit margins of projects and maintain high quality of installation work from PO to payment receipt.
• Coordinate all M&E services at site efficiently and supervise project team members for improvement.
• Inform customers on project progress and maintain strong relationships with customers and Vertiv divisions.

Job description

To assist the Project Management Team to co-ordinate and ensure that the implementation for assigned projects are successfully implemented by the appointed vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist theProject ManagementTeam to co-ordinate with other departments to secure resources needed for projects which are under his direct supervision.
• Understand customer needs in order to achieve overall project goals and objectives as well as to secure high level of customer satisfaction.
• Participate in project meetings with various customers under his direct supervision.
• Assist Project ManagementTeam for schedules implementation to ensure smooth flow of the project implementation.
• Assist Project ManagementTeam to deliver set profit margins of projects.
• To maintain good working relationship with customers and other various Vertiv divisions and departments.
• Coordinate all the M&E services in efficient manner at site.
• Supervise, motivate and develop his direct project team member for continual improvement and optimised performance.
• To understand customer requirements in order to achieve overall project goals and objectives as well as to secure high level of customer satisfaction.
• To be responsible for high standard and good quality of all installation work from P.O. to receipt of payment.
• To attend progress meetings and to understand customer requirements.
• To inform customer on the progress of all the projects that under his team.
• To provide satisfactory service in order to maintain high level customer satisfaction.
• To coordinate all the M&E services in efficient manner at site.
• To assist thePMO Director, Project Managementfor planning implementation schedules and human resource allocation to ensure smooth implementation within budget and time frame of every project.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Degree in Engineering fields or equivalent with minimum 7-10 years working experience in enterprise and IT industry with major involvement in project management in the turnkey data centre site preparation works.
• Strong knowledge in project management techniques and good communications skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written skills both in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Self-motivated, good team player and customer focus.
