Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead turnkey data centre site preparations. You will coordinate across departments to secure resources, understand customer needs, and drive projects to meet goals and satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English with Bahasa Malaysia. You will attend progress meetings and work closely with the PMO to ensure on-budget, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering fields or equivalent.
• 7–10 years in enterprise/IT project management.
• Strong project management techniques and good communications.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in English; Bahasa Malaysia a plus.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist theProject ManagementTeam to co-ordinate with other departments to secure resources needed for projects which are under his direct supervision.
• Understand customer needs in order to achieve overall project goals and objectives as well as to secure high level of customer satisfaction.
• Participate in project meetings with various customers under his direct supervision.
• Assist Project ManagementTeam for schedules implementation to ensure smooth flow of the project implementation.
• Assist Project ManagementTeam to deliver set profit margins of projects.
• To maintain good working relationship with customers and other various Vertiv divisions and departments.
• Coordinate all the M&E services in efficient manner at site.
• Supervise, motivate and develop his direct project team member for continual improvement and optimised performance.
• To understand customer requirements in order to achieve overall project goals and objectives as well as to secure high level of customer satisfaction.
• To be responsible for high standard and good quality of all installation work from P.O. to receipt of payment.
• To attend progress meetings and to understand customer requirements.
• To inform customer on the progress of all the projects that under his team.
• To provide satisfactory service in order to maintain high level customer satisfaction.
• To coordinate all the M&E services in efficient manner at site.
• To assist thePMO Director, Project Managementfor planning implementation schedules and human resource allocation to ensure smooth implementation within budget and time frame of every project.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Degree in Engineering fields or equivalent with minimum 7-10 years working experience in enterprise and IT industry with major involvement in project management in the turnkey data centre site preparation works.
• Strong knowledge in project management techniques and good communications skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written skills both in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Self-motivated, good team player and customer focus.
