Job summary

Vertiv seeks an experienced Project Manager to coordinate and ensure successful implementation of assigned projects by appointed vendors at our data centre sites in Malaysia. The role involves coordinating with departments, understanding customer needs, and driving timely delivery.

Requirements include an engineering degree and 7–10 years in enterprise/IT project management, strong leadership and bilingual English/Bahasa Malaysia skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent; 7–10 years in enterprise/IT with project management in turnkey data centre site prep.
• Strong knowledge of project management techniques and good communications skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Self-motivated, team player and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with departments to secure resources for projects under supervision.
• Understand customer needs to achieve project goals and high customer satisfaction.
• Participate in project meetings with customers under supervision.
• Assist in scheduling implementation for smooth project delivery.
• Help deliver set project profit margins.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and Vertiv divisions.
• Coordinate M&E services at site efficiently.
• Supervise and develop direct project team members for performance.
• Attend progress meetings and inform customers on project progress.
• Ensure high standard and quality from purchase order to payment receipt.
