Job summary

Vertiv in Petaling Jaya is seeking an experienced Project Management professional to assist the Project Management Team in ensuring successful project implementation. The role involves coordinating with other departments, understanding customer needs, and maintaining quality standards.

Candidates should have a degree in Engineering and 7-10 years of relevant experience in project management for turnkey data center site preparation works, along with strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in enterprise and IT industry with project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project management techniques.
• Good spoken and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Job Description

Assist the Project Management Team to coordinate and ensure that the implementation for assigned projects is successfully implemented by the appointed vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Management Team to coordinate with other departments to secure resources needed for projects which are under direct supervision.
• Understand customer needs in order to achieve overall project goals and objectives and secure high level of customer satisfaction.
• Participate in project meetings with various customers under direct supervision.
• Assist Project Management Team for schedule implementation to ensure smooth flow of the project implementation.
• Assist Project Management Team to deliver set profit margins of projects.
• Maintain good working relationship with customers and various Vertiv divisions and departments.
• Coordinate all the M&E services in an efficient manner at site.
• Supervise, motivate and develop direct project team members for continual improvement and optimised performance.
• Ensure high standard and good quality of all installation work from P.O. to receipt of payment.
• Attend progress meetings and understand customer requirements.
• Inform customer on the progress of all projects under the team.
• Provide satisfactory service to maintain high level customer satisfaction.
• Assist the PMO Director, Project Management for planning implementation schedules and human resource allocation to ensure smooth implementation within budget and time frame of every project.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering fields or equivalent with minimum 7‑10 years of working experience in the enterprise and IT industry, with major involvement in project management in turnkey data centre site preparation works.
• Strong knowledge in project management techniques and good communication skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Self‑motivated, good team player and customer focus.
