Job summary

KL Energy Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Melaka seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion.

You will plan, execute, and finalise projects to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, contributing to the company’s success and reputation in the sector. The role requires a Civil Engineering/Construction Management background with at least 5 years in project management, strong leadership, and excellent communication with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven Project Manager experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, practices, and regulations.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in CPM, CPM Tracking, project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Professional certifications such as PMP/PRINCE2 are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with company objectives.
• Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Monitor progress and performance against established timelines and financial targets.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues promptly to maintain momentum.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
• Lead site meetings and inspections to monitor quality and progress.
• Control project costs and manage variations to minimise budget overruns.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management and clients on project status and performance.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join KL Energy Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Melaka. What we're looking for

• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities


• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills


• Proficiency in CPM, CPM Tracking , project management software and Microsoft Office applications


• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure


• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites


• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly desirable is advantaged.


• Experience with building sector construction is preferred
