Job summary

EPR (Kuching) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. This full-time role will play a key part in delivering our engineering projects.

You will plan, coordinate and monitor construction and infrastructure programs using Primavera P6, manage stakeholders and report progress to management. In addition, you will review drawings, submissions and schedules; coordinate design, procurement, construction, testing and handover; and support risk

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and delivering assigned construction and infrastructure projects.
• Develop, update and monitor project work programmes using Primavera P6.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved programme, milestones, budget and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate activities involving clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
• Review construction drawings, technical submissions, method statements, material submissions and work schedules.
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
• Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, management presentations and project correspondence.
• Identify project delays, technical issues, commercial risks and interface constraints, and recommend mitigation measures.

About the role

EPR (Kuching) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in the delivery of our exciting engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and delivering assigned construction and infrastructure projects.
• Develop, update and monitor project work programmes using Primavera P6.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved programme, milestones, budget and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate activities involving clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.

• Chair or participate in project coordination, technical, progress and site meetings.
• Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, management presentations and project correspondence.
• Identify project delays, technical issues, commercial risks and interface constraints, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Monitor contractors' performance, resource allocation and compliance with project requirements.
• Support the preparation and assessment of extension-of-time matters, variation orders, progress claims and contractual correspondence.
• Ensure that project activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements and safety regulations.
• Assist in managing project documentation, approvals, inspections, testing, completion and handover.
• Carry out other project-related duties assigned by management.
