Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Malaysia, Johor Bahru, is hiring a Project Manager for Switchgear/Transformer projects. Based in Johor Bahru, you will lead project execution from planning to delivery, coordinate with service engineers, and manage subcontractors to meet milestones and safety standards.

The role requires an engineering degree or diploma, 2+ years of PM experience, and AutoCAD proficiency; PMP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage & control projects to meet contract requirements and keep costs within budget.
• Collaborate with Eaton Service Engineers and manage subcontractors per project plan.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and issue invoices per milestones.
• Coordinate multiple projects and delivery to meet requirements.
• Schedule and participate in project meetings and discussions as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date project costing sheets and expense tracking.
• Attend site meetings (technical, coordination, etc.).
• Assist with contract administration tasks (ordering, milestones, drawings, O&M submissions).
• Liaise with Customer Service/SCM on parts ordering and lead times.
• Oversee subcontractor schedules, resources, and quality of work.
• Support FAT/SAT reviews and report compilation with Service team.

What you’ll do:

• A. Manage & control projects to meet the contract requirements and ensure cost control to meet project budget
• B. Collaborate with Eaton Service Engineers and manage sub-contractors in resource deployment according to project implementation plan
• C. Provide accurate and timely sales forecast and issuance of invoice per contract milestone/progressive claims
• D. Manage multiple projects implementation and delivery according to each project requirements
• E. Schedule and attend project meeting/discussions per project requirements
• F. Maintain upto date project integrated costing sheet and traceable tracking record to account for project expenses.
• G. Attendance of project meetings (technical, coordination etc) at site
• H. Manage / support contract administration works (ordering, billing milestone, shop drawings & O&M submission)
• I. Work with Customer Service / Supply Chain Management (SCM) team on parts ordering and lead time to meet project requirements
• J. Manage sub-contractor work schedule, resource deployment and quality of work.
• K. Manage customers requests during product FAT / SAT and support Service team on result obtained and report compilation
• L. Be committed & responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) / Environment Health & Safety (EHS):
  • a. Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking
  • b. Provide the necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS / EHS
  • c. Communicating to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS / EHS requirements
  • d. Ensuring the QMS / EHS meets its goals
  • e. Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS /EHS
  • f. Create a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Engineering discipline PHP - Project Management Professional Cert
• At least 2 years of project management experience
• Auto-CAD skill
• Good communication skill
