Role Description

The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Baharu/Melaka, responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing marine and infrastructure construction projects from inception to completion. This role includes coordinating project schedules, resources, and subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budgetary requirements. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder communication, and prepare regular status reports for internal management and clients. Daily activities involve reviewing technical drawings and specifications, conducting site inspections, identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving issues that may affect timelines or costs. The role also requires close collaboration with procurement, logistics, and expediting functions to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment and smooth on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to monitor supplier performance, follow up on material and equipment deliveries, and support timely project execution.
• Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify workmanship, ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards, and support quality control on site.
• Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to coordinate transportation, storage, and handling of materials and equipment for marine and infrastructure projects.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field are preferred.
• Experience in marine, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction projects, especially in a contractor environment, is highly beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in project management software and MS Office are desirable.
• Ability to work on-site, lead diverse teams, and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities is essential.
