Job summary

Engineering & Project Management Services in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, scheduling, and cost control for IBS-based construction projects. You will develop baselines, WBS, master schedules for pre-manufacturing and on-site installation, and manage vendors, logistics, and on-site teams with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include risk mitigation, stakeholder reporting, and ensuring compliance with CIDB guidelines and safety standards.

Job description

Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and master schedules specifically tailored for pre-manufacturing and on-site IBS installation sequences.

Workflow & SOP Implementation: Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling, transporting, hoisting, and assembling IBS components (such as formwork, precast panels, or steel frames).

Resource & Vendor Management: Coordinate closely with off-site manufacturing factories, logistics/transportation providers, and on-site assembly crews to ensure a steady, just-in-time (JIT) supply of components.

Budget & Cost Control: Manage project financials, track material and labor costs, and process change orders while keeping the build within approved budgets.

Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure pre-fabricated components and site installations meet engineering specifications, local building codes (such as CIDB guidelines in Malaysia), and safety standards.

Risk & Delay Mitigation: Identify bottlenecks in factory production, delivery routes, or crane/site assembly, implementing quick problem-solving measures to avoid downtime.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between clients, main contractors, consultants, architects, and factory production heads, providing regular progress reports and dashboards.
