Job summary

WEI TAT POULTRY FARM SDN BHD seeks a capable Construction/Facilities Manager to coordinate site projects across farm locations. You will oversee planning, maintenance, and improvement works, ensuring compliance with plans and regulations.

You will liaise with contractors, consultants, and authorities, review plans, monitor progress, and manage multiple projects while traveling between farms in Selangor and Bahau.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Facilities Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, building maintenance, facilities management or project coordination.
• Experience in farm, agricultural, industrial, factory or commercial building projects is an advantage.
• Familiar with dealing with authorities, contractors, consultants and government agencies.
• Good understanding of construction processes and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor new building construction projects from planning to completion.
• Oversee building maintenance, renovation, upgrading, repair and improvement works across farm locations.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, architects, engineers and authorities on construction matters.
• Coordinate applications, inspections, approvals and permits with relevant authorities.
• Review plans, layouts and specifications and provide recommendations.
• Monitor progress, quality, materials and project schedules.
• Conduct site inspections, identify defects and follow up on corrective works.
• Monitor changes in laws and local requirements, advise Management on improvements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, monitor costs, and prepare progress reports.
• Provide technical and practical advice to ensure compliance with approved plans.

Job description

Coordinate and monitor new building construction projects from the planning stage through to completion. Oversee building maintenance, renovation, upgrading, repair and improvement works across the Company's farm locations.

Coordinate applications, submissions, inspections, approvals and permits with the relevant authorities.

Review building plans, layouts, drawings and specifications and provide recommendations where necessary.

Monitor construction and maintenance work progress, quality, materials and project schedules.

Conduct regular site inspections, identify building defects and maintenance issues, and follow up on corrective works.

Monitor changes in laws, regulations, standards and local authority requirements, and advise Management on necessary improvements or actions.

Obtain and evaluate contractors' quotations, monitor project and maintenance costs, and prepare progress reports and related documentation.

Provide technical and practical advice to Management and ensure construction, maintenance and building works comply with approved plans and applicable requirements.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Facilities Management or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, building maintenance, facilities management or project coordination.

Experience in farm, agricultural, industrial, factory or commercial building projects will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with dealing with PBT / local authorities, contractors, consultants and government agencies.

Good understanding of construction processes, building maintenance and contractor management.

Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.

Able to manage multiple projects and maintenance works simultaneously.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.

Willing to travel frequently between farms in Selangor and Bahau.
