Job summary

Shiangly Builder Sdn Bhd in Bukit Mertajam (Penang) is seeking a Project Engineer to plan and monitor schedules across civil, architectural, M&E and NSC works, ensuring on-time completion. You will coordinate QA/QC activities, share progress reports, and liaise with consultants, subcontractors and the project team.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or related degree, is proactive, able to work with minimal supervision, and possesses strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Dynamic, proactive and responsible.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience in QAQC or M&E coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor project schedules across civil, architectural, M&E and NSC works to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate and monitor QAQC activities or M&E coordination per project requirements.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Monitor site progress, inspections, testing and related activities.
• Maintain and update drawing records, project docs and site reports.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and project teams on technical matters.
• Attend site meetings and assist in resolving technical or coordination issues.
• Coordinate material requisition, delivery and progress planning with project team.
• Prepare progress reports and related project documentation.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Plan and monitor project schedules, including structural, architectural, M&E and NSC works to ensure timely completion.

Coordinate and monitor QAQC activities or M&E works in accordance with project requirements and assigned responsibilities.

Ensure works are carried out in compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Monitor site progress, inspections, testing and related project activities.

Maintain and update drawing records, project documentation and site reports.

Liaise closely with consultants, subcontractors and project teams on technical and coordination matters.

Attend site meetings and assist in resolving technical or site coordination issues.

Coordinate with project team and contract department on material requisition, delivery and work progress planning.

Prepare progress reports and other related project documentation.

Carry out any other duties assigned by superior or management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or other relevant qualifications.

Dynamic, pro-active and hardworking with good sense of responsibility.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience in QAQC or M&E coordination for building construction projects will be an added advantage.
