Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia, seeks a proactive project coordination professional in the automotive field. You will liaise with multiple departments and vendors to ensure timely project execution and milestones are achieved, while supporting localization and engineering change activities.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in automotive projects, strong analytical and organizational skills, and experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
Coordinate project development activities and ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule.
Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and regional stakeholders to support project execution.
Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining effective communication across teams.
Support product localization and engineering change activities.
Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Investigate technical issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
Prepare project-related reports, documentation, and presentations.
Coordinate meetings and follow up on action items to ensure smooth project implementation.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
1 - 3 years of working experience in automotive or any related industry
Strong interest in motorcycles or the automotive industry.
Language proficiency inMandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
Experience in project coordination, engineering projects, internships, or university projects would be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, or automotive industry will be advantageous.
Exposure to CAD software for 2D and 3D drafting such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools is an added advantage.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

HLYM continues to invest in new technologies and equipment to improve productivity and upgrade the skills of workers on the transfer of technology with the guidance and coaching of YMC engineers and consultants.
