Job summary

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd in Selangor seeks a proactive engineer to coordinate multi-country project development, localization with internal and external teams, and drive cost-reduction initiatives in line with company targets.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience or fresh graduates, a degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, CAD proficiency, and strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with diverse clients and partners.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of working experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering field.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. We are seeking candidates proficient in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
• Strong interest in motorcycles or the automotive industry.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies, particularly in mechatronics or autotronics.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D drafting and design using CAD software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude.
• Strong logical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project development across multiple countries (Taiwan, Japan, and Thailand) and collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinate project localization activities with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful implementation.
• Manage and execute continuous cost-reduction initiatives in line with project and company targets.
• Perform problem analysis and implement effective countermeasures to ensure timely project execution and continuous improvement.
