Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd seeks a Mechanical/Automotive Engineer to study and ensure compliance with Malaysian motorcycle vehicle regulations, and to develop homologation plans with counterpart countries. You will conduct and document functional, durability, and environmental testing of motorcycle components, coordinate teams, and report results to stakeholders.

Study & understand regulation requirement & content about MYS vehicle regulations from related authoritiy (MOT, JPJ, DOE, MARii, MITI etc)
Develop and implement comprehensive homologation plan with development country for local activity
Make & prepare homologation documents for subsmission to related Approval Authority (JPJ, DOE, MARii etc)
Conduct functional, performance, durability, and environmental testing on vehicle components and systems as per internal test protocol requirements.
Resources coordination with team members to ensure job’s progress & completion as targeted plan.
Oversee the collection, interpretation, and documentation of test data.
Analyse test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed test reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Present test results to stakeholders and collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues & system improvement.
Work closely with design, project management, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration.
Provide technical support during the product development lifecycle, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Identify and procure new testing tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities align with headquarters requirement.
Any other assignment/task given Management from time to time to support on operation such as 5S activity, safety, kaizen, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
1~2+ years of experience in automotive testing, validation, or quality assurance.
Hands-on experience with automotive systems especially for motorcycle.
Fresh graduate which has strong interest on motorcycle are welcome to apply too.
Possess good knowledge on automotive component & system technology especially related with motorcycle
Possess good knowledge on vehicle regulation especially related with motorcycle.
Proficiency in testing tools and software especially related with noise & brake test activity.
Proficient in handling hand tools (manual & power tool) & measuring instruments (vernier calliper, micrometer etc)
Proficient to read & interpret engineering drawing for assembly purpose.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills considering quality, cost & delivery aspect.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to optimise contribution & outcomes.
High initiative on process improvement and customer focused to meet the needs of internal/external stakeholders.
Posses valid driving license at least B2 & D class & good track record on riding experienced.
