Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive budgeting and strategic planning. You will lead the finance team, implement best practices, and collaborate with auditors and senior management to safeguard assets and optimize efficiency.
The role requires a strong background in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing finance, with a focus on continuous improvement and system optimization.
The Finance Manager oversees the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective management of budgets and financial planning. The role leads the finance team, provides insights to support strategic decisions, and implements best practices for financial efficiency.
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the preparation of management reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
Identify variances and recommend corrective actions to align with financial goals.
Support strategic planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Manage cash flow to ensure the organisation meets its financial obligations.
Monitor and mitigate financial risks through effective policies and controls.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organisation’s assets.
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure timely submission of tax filings and statutory reports.
Streamline financial processes and drive automation for efficiency.
Oversee the implementation and optimisation of financial software and systems (e.g. Infor LN).
Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other business units.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and organisational goals.
Communicate financial performance and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and the board.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA qualification preferred).
Proven experience (8+ years) in financial management or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Experience in Manufacturing and familiarity with Inforus LN.

Today, HLYM is proud to be in the unique position of being the motorcycle manufacturer in Malaysia with triple certification of ISO 9002 (Quality Management System) from SIRIM, TPM Excellence Award from JIPM and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) from SGS Malaysia/SGS UK.
