Job summary

Exentec seeks a technical coordinator to bridge design and fabrication for modular MEP rack projects in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will review BIM models and drawings, translate design data into buildable manufacturing instructions, and resolve clashes across mechanical, electrical, and structural systems before fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in MEP engineering, data centre construction, modular construction, or DfMA environments.
• Able to review and interpret BIM models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Lead the technical coordination between design and fabrication teams for modular MEP racks, ensuring engineering requirements are translated into efficient and buildable manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review BIM models, shop drawings, and engineering specifications for modular MEP rack fabrication.
• Translate design information into clear manufacturing and assembly instructions.
• Resolve technical issues and interface clashes between mechanical, electrical, and structural systems prior to fabrication.
• Coordinate material specifications, technical submittals, and compliance requirements with consultants and main contractors.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and site installation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in MEP engineering, data centre construction, modular construction, or DfMA environments.
• Able to review and interpret BIM models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, Navisworks Freedom, and AutoCAD.
• Experience in DfMA, off-site modular manufacturing, or data centre projects.
• Willing to travel between the manufacturing facility, KL holding area, and Cyberjaya site as required.
