Job summary

TK Elevator GmbH in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Project Engineer to manage and coordinate all project activities from planning to handover. The role requires 1–3 years of experience in construction, M&E, elevator or escalator industries, with strong drawing-reading and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of project engineering experience in construction, M&E, elevator, or escalator industries; fresh graduates welcome.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of DOSH/OSHA requirements and site safety practices is an advantage.
  • Malaysian only.
  • Work location: Penang.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all project activities, including planning, site execution, testing, commissioning, and customer handover.
  • Ensure projects are completed within the approved schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve technical, operational, and commercial issues.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company safety requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site requirements to ensure installation readiness and technical accuracy.
  • Lead site teams and subcontractors to achieve project milestones and installation quality targets.
  • Manage project documentation, variation orders, progress claims, and reporting requirements.
  • Support testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and project handover activities.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through professional project management and effective communication.
  • Anticipate project risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project delivery, productivity, quality, and safety performance.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Uphold the company's values, professionalism, and commitment to operational excellence.
