Job summary

Convergint Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled engineer to install, test, commission, and program security equipment while upholding Convergint’s quality standards.

You will manage projects end-to-end and provide technical support across departments to ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s in Electronic, Computer, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering, plus at least 3 years’ related experience in a multinational setting, with strong IT basics and familiarity

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Computer, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in security, electronics, or small project implementation and commissioning, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Basic IT knowledge in security hardware, network, and database.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and program security equipment in line with company standards.
• Manage projects to ensure successful completion.
• Provide technical support to Sales and other departments.
• Troubleshoot security systems issues.
• Conduct on-site training sessions for clients.
• Use AutoCAD to design security systems and building diagrams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security concepts.

Discovering the role The primary responsibility of this role is the installation, testing, commissioning, and system programming of security equipment in adherence to Convergint's standards. The objective is to maintain excellent engineering project quality while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and program security equipment in compliance with company policies and standards.
• Manage projects to ensure successful completion.
• Provide technical support and assistance to Sales and other departments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security systems.
• Conduct on-site training sessions for clients.
• Utilize AutoCAD to design security systems and create building diagrams.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge in security concepts.

Requirements

• Possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Computer, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in security, electronic, or small electronic project implementation and commissioning, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Possess basic IT knowledge in security hardware, network, and database.
• Experience with security access control systems, CCTV, and alarm system products/systems is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to Lenel, GE, Cisco, and S2 systems is a clear advantage.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Display a quick learning ability and a strong focus on client service.
