Job summary

ART FACADE SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Construction) to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion on a contract basis in Kuala Lumpur. You will drive planning, procurement, site inspections and progress reporting to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires a Civil/Construction Engineering degree, at least 5 years of project management experience, strong knowledge of local codes, and the ability to coordinate with clients,

• Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all construction activities to meet schedules and budgets.

About the role

ART FACADE SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Construction) to join our team on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role that will involve overseeing and managing construction projects from inception through to completion. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position plays a strategic role in the success of our construction operations and directly impacts our reputation and client satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• Planning, coordinating and overseeing all construction activities to ensure projects meet scheduled timelines and budget constraints
• Conducting regular site inspections and monitoring progress to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalation
• Managing procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors whilst ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, drawings and as-built records
• Liaising with clients, contractors, architects and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols across all construction sites
• Identifying and managing project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns
• Conducting quality assurance inspections and ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, standards and regulations
• Preparing progress reports and presenting findings to senior management and clients

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management or project engineering
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale construction projects from planning through completion
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards and regulatory requirements in Malaysia
• Proficiency with project management software and tools, including scheduling and cost estimation applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across diverse teams
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure
• Professional certification or membership in recognised engineering bodies (desirable)
• Experience with facade or specialised construction projects is highly advantageous
