Job summary

Hongrita Precision Component (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Project / NPI Engineer to drive new product introductions, prepare BOMs, and develop process work instructions.

You will collaborate with QA to tackle quality issues, implement continuous improvement, and coordinate the department’s efforts to meet customer requirements while delivering cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years hands-on experience as Project / NPI Engineer.
• Strong English, Mandarin communication.
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Experience in Plastic Injection will be an advantage.

Descriptions:

• Handling new project activities and preparing BOM for new projects.
• Responsible for composing process work instructions for new operations/processes.
• Help further the company culture of implementing innovative processes and continually improving existing processes.
• Responsible for managing processes by using engineering principles and techniques.
• To direct and coordinate the department’s efforts in the achievement of continuous improvement in the areas identified herein.
• To ensure continuous improvement that meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements and demands.
• Liaise with QA on quality problems and take the necessary countermeasures to prevent recurrences.
• Responsible for the production of quality products at optimum cost in all manufacturing processes.
• To undertake other related jobs as directed by the superior occasionally.

Requirements:

• Possess at least a diploma in the Engineering field or equivalent.
• At least 1-3 years of hands‑on experience as a Project / NPI Engineer.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English and good command of Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, good interpersonal skills, able to multitask and work under pressure.
