Job summary

Green Design Engineering (M&E) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a full-time on-site Electrical Engineer based in Petaling Jaya to design and develop electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects.

You will prepare calculations, drawings, and technical specifications, review client requirements, perform load calculations, and design power distribution layouts while coordinating with mechanical and civil teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of electricity principles and building services applications.
• Experience with power distribution, including LV distribution and protection coordination.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and local authority requirements.

This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Petaling Jaya. The Electrical Engineer will design and develop electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects, including preparing calculations, drawings, and technical specifications. Daily tasks include reviewing client requirements, performing load calculations, designing power distribution layouts, and coordinating with mechanical and civil teams to integrate electrical designs.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of electricity principles and building services applications
• Proficiency in Electrical Design, including preparing single-line diagrams, load schedules, and layout drawings
• Experience with Power Distribution systems, including LV distribution, switchboards, and protection coordination
• Understanding of Power Systems, such as fault level calculation, power quality considerations, and system reliability
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and local authority requirements
• Ability to use CAD or similar design tools; exposure to BIM or related software is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety
• Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams, clients, and contractors
