• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related)
• 3-5 years' experience in project engineering or project management in manufacturing/engineering
• Proficiency with project management methods (Prince2, Agile or similar) and with engineering/design/PM software
• Strong organization and time-management; ability to manage multiple projects
• Good analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments
• Experience in wire harness, electrical or automotive manufacturing is desirable
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF quality systems and MS Office/PM tools
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join SHUANGFEI WIRE HARNESS SDN. BHD. in Rawang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful planning, execution and completion of engineering projects within our organisation. As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects of projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring they meet quality standards, budgets and timelines. This role is integral to our operations and directly contributes to the achievement of our strategic objectives in the wire harness and engineering manufacturing sector.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, design and execute engineering projects in line with company objectives and client requirements
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance and procurement to ensure seamless project delivery
• Monitor project progress and performance against established metrics, reporting regularly to senior management
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing corrective and preventive measures as necessary
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and quality requirements throughout all project phases
• Conduct technical reviews and design evaluations to validate project feasibility and optimisation opportunities
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain strong working relationships
• Document all project activities, changes and outcomes in accordance with company procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge with team members

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related discipline)
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in project engineering or project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (familiarity with Prince2, Agile or similar frameworks is advantageous)
• Proficiency in engineering design software and project management software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Experience in wire harness, electrical or automotive manufacturing is highly desirable
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent)/ IATF
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
