Avant-Med Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company in Medical Imaging Diagnostic Equipment, seeks a Project Engineer to manage room installs, site prep, and delivery of medical solutions in hospitals across Malaysia.

The role requires strong leadership, project management experience, and familiarity with Visio, Gantt charts, and AutoCAD. Travel may be required; join a team enabling customers’ efficient implementations.

Qualifications

• Local language and English proficiency required.
• Experience in project management; Prince2 or PIM desirable.
• Familiarity with MS Visio, Gantt charts and AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manages installs of rooms including layout and site prep activities.
• Leads projects to implement medical solutions in hospitals.
• Sets delivery expectations with sales and product teams.
• Ensures on-time, complete, error-free project delivery.
• Provides timely updates to customers on progress.
• Secures final customer acceptance and project closure.

Job description

Avant-Med Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian company in Medical Imaging Diagnostic Equipment. Our core business is in trading of healthcare/medical equipment & system, and consumables products. We are looking for dynamic and passionate self-starters to assist us in writing the next chapter in our success story.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manages installs of rooms including, creation of room layout, coordination of site prep activities (room construction)
2. The Project Engineer is responsible for implementing medical solutions for the public and private hospitals in Malaysia. This job requires leadership skills to satisfactory manage the team and the project, so that customer expectations are met or exceeded, within the constraints of project cost and timeliness.
3. Set clear delivery expectations (planning, services, training, network support) in liaison with Account Manager and Product Specialist during closing deal stage.
4. Manage implementation projects to meet or exceed customer expectations, ensure total solutions is delivered on time in full and with no errors.
5. Provide a timely communication to customer about project advancement, ensuring customers have enough information to enable them to deal with it efficiently.
6. Obtain final customer acceptance, close the project.
7. Work with Sales & Service Managers on projects to update status.
8. Coordinate with third party vendor activity that is included in the solution.
9. Gain and update knowledge of customer’s environment, local regulatory constraints, local Medical and IT policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Local language and English required.
2. Experienced project management, and/or certification (Prince2, PIM) desired.
3. Familiarity and experience with MS Visio, and Gantt charts. Previous experience with AutoCAD highly regarded.
4. Good knowledge of network architecture.
5. Analytical skills & structured approach.
6. Excellent project management skills, including ability to multitask and prioritize using accepted project methodologies and tools.
7. Must be able to travel at short notice.
