Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to support structural works for the Santos FSO Project. You will coordinate engineering activities, site execution, and documentation to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and compliance with project requirements.
Based at Pasir Gudang, you will review drawings, coordinate with the Project Manager and subcontractors, monitor progress, and prepare reports while ensuring quality, HSE adherence, and timely close-out of outstanding works.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the execution of structural works for the Santos FSO Project (Package 2). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, site execution, documentation and technical matters to ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule and in accordance with project requirements.
Coordinate and monitor day-to-day engineering and site activities for structural works, steel renewal, repair and conversion works.
Review drawings, specifications, work procedures, method statements and other technical documents.
Coordinate with the Project Manager, client/MMHE representatives, subcontractors, supervisors and site personnel.
Monitor work progress and ensure activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, inspection records and technical submissions.
Assist in planning manpower, materials, equipment and work schedules.
Coordinate inspection and testing activities with the relevant parties.
Identify technical issues, site constraints and potential delays, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Ensure all works comply with applicable HSE, quality and project requirements.
Monitor productivity and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
Participate in site meetings, coordination meetings and technical discussions.
Ensure proper close-out of project documentation and outstanding works.
Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction, structural, marine, shipyard, oil & gas or offshore projects.
Experience in structural steel works, steel renewal, repair or conversion works will be an advantage.
Experience working in shipyard/FSO/FPSO/offshore projects is highly preferred.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Good knowledge of site execution, project coordination and construction practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Willing to be based at Pasir Gudang/project site and work according to project requirements.
