Job summary

DYNAC in Malaysia is seeking a capable Project Engineer to coordinate engineering, procurement and fabrication for designated work packages, ensuring interfaces are managed from design through delivery.

You will compile schedules, review specifications, liaise with subcontractors and clients, monitor progress, document QA procedures, and provide regular progress reports while complying with ISO 9001:2015.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, procurement and fabrication and interfaces of the designated work package from engineering through fabrication phases.
• Prepare overall planning for projects including procurement, fabrication, testing until delivery through Master Project Schedule, Vendor master Document List and Procurement Plan.
• Compile, review all project specification and distribute to all departments.
• Prepare, compile and submit engineering data sheets (e.g., Motor Data Sheet, Fan Drive Data Sheet, Bearing Data Sheet, Vibration Transmitter Data Sheet).
• Prepare QC procedures (Surface Preparation & Painting, Hex Plug Torquing, Tube Expansion, PMI, Factory Acceptance Test, Acid Pickling, Ferrite Content Measurement, Hardness Procedure, etc.).
• Prepare other contract deliverables (Spare Part Interchange-ability record, O&M Manual, Packing List).
• Respond to technical issues pertaining to datasheets, QC procedures and project documents.
• Attend site inspections and testing when QC not available.
• Perform site visits for measurements, complaints, SAT and installation work.
• Source materials and issue Material Requisition for major materials requiring notes.
• Assist site team in coordination and documentation preparation.
• Provide technical training at client’s premise.
• Monitor/progress tracking for engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, delivery.
• Assist Accounts on invoicing matters.
• Prepare supporting documents for tender/proposal.
• Liaise with subcontractors for technical issues and arrangement.
• Act as project manager liaison to purchaser’s representative when required.
• Provide regular Project Progress Reports to Purchaser on project performance.
• Be the project engineering and fabrication focal point for each defined work package.
• Define work package scope with engineering department.
• Participate in client meetings and resolve client/engineering issues.
• Ensure effective engineering and client communications.
• Comply with QMS ISO 9001:2015 in every task.
• Observe and implement QMS ISO 9001:2015.
• Follow any instruction from superior/top management.

• 8. Attend any site inspection and testing in case QC is not available.


• 9. Perform site visit for site measurement, attending complaints, site acceptance test (SAT) and installation work.


• 10. Perform material sourcing and issue Material Requisition especially major materials which require technical notes.


• 11. Assist site team in term of coordination and documentation preparation.


• 12. Provide technical training at client’s premise.


• 14. Monitor/ track progress for each process; engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, delivery.


• 15. Assist Account Dept on invoicing matters.


• 16. Prepare supporting documents for tender/ proposal


• 17. Liaise with subcontractor (painting, machine shop) for any technical issue and arrangement.


• 18. Where required, acts on behalf of Project Manager being focal point to coordinate and communicate with purchaser’s representative.


• 19. To provide regular Project Progress Reports to Purchaser on project performance and issue.


• 20. Be the project engineering and fabrication focal point for each defined work package or work areas during engineering, procurement and shop floor fabrication phases.


• 21. Directly liaise with engineering department in the definition of the work package scope of work.


• 22. Participating in client meetings and resolving client/ engineering and management project issues.


• 23. Ensure effective engineering and client communications.


• 24. To comply and implement company policy as per QMS in every task/ job.


• 25. To observe and implement QMS ISO 9001 : 2015.


• 26. Any other instruction by verbal or written from immediate superior/Top Management.
