Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the execution of structural works for the Santos FSO Project (Package 2). The PM will oversee project planning, manpower, cost, schedule, quality, safety and coordination with the client, MMHE and other stakeholders.

Candidates should have a degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering and 8–10 years in project management within marine, offshore or heavy engineering, with specific experience in structural steel

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful execution and completion of the Santos FSO structural works package.
• Plan, manage and coordinate all project activities from mobilisation through completion and close-out.
• Lead the execution of structural steel renewal, repair, life extension and conversion works.
• Establish project execution plans, work schedules, manpower requirements and resource planning.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedule, budget and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate closely with MMHE/client representatives, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, supervisors and site teams.
• Manage project manpower, materials, equipment and other resources efficiently.
• Review and approve project plans, method statements, work procedures, progress reports and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor project cost, productivity, variations and potential commercial risks.
• Identify project risks, delays and technical issues and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery actions.
• Lead project and site coordination meetings and ensure timely follow-up of outstanding matters.
• Ensure all project activities comply with contractual requirements, approved procedures, quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate inspection, testing, punch list and project close-out activities.
• Maintain effective communication with management and provide regular updates on project status, progress, cost and key issues.
• Ensure the project is delivered safely, within the required schedule and in accordance with client expectations.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in marine, shipyard, offshore, oil & gas or heavy engineering projects.
• Proven experience managing structural steel, steel renewal, repair, refurbishment or conversion works.
• Experience in FSO/FPSO, shipyard or offshore projects is highly preferred. Good if have experience in marine/shipyard/offshore + structural/steel renewal.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, construction execution, manpower management, cost control and schedule management.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, construction methodologies and site execution.
• Good leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE and quality requirements.
• Willing to be based at Pasir Gudang/project site for the duration of the project.
