Job summary

Eaton Malaysia, based in Johor Bahru, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead electrical projects in switchgear/transformer and data center solutions. You will coordinate with service engineers and subcontractors, manage resources, and ensure deliveries meet schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has a Degree in Engineering, PMP certification, at least 2 years of project management experience, and AutoCAD skills with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control projects to meet contract requirements within budget.
• Collaborate with service engineers and subcontractors per project plan.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and issue invoices per milestones.
• Schedule and attend project meetings, including site meetings.
• Maintain project costing sheets and track expenses.
• Support contract administration (ordering, shop drawings, O&M submissions).
• Coordinate with Customer Service and SCM on parts and scheduling.
• Ensure QMS/EHS compliance and promote continuous improvement.

Manage and control projects to meet contract requirements while ensuring cost control within the project budget.B. Collaborate with Eaton Service Engineers and manage subcontractors, including resource deployment, according to the project implementation plan.C. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and issue invoices in accordance with contract milestones or progressive claims.D. Manage multiple project implementations and deliveries according to individual project requirements.E. Schedule and attend project meetings and discussions as required, including site meetings (technical, coordination, etc.).F. Maintain up-to-date project integrated costing sheets and traceable tracking records for project expenses.G. Manage and support contract administration activities (ordering, billing milestones, shop drawings, and O&M submissions).H. Work with Customer Service and Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams on parts ordering, lead times, subcontractor scheduling, resource deployment, and quality of work, and manage customer requests during FAT/SAT while supporting the Service team with results and report compilation.I. Be committed and responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS):a. Implement a process-driven and risk-based approach.b. Provide necessary support to fully implement and sustain QMS/EHS.c. Communicate the importance of compliance with QMS/EHS requirements across the organization.d.
