Job summary

Chubb Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Project Engineer/Manager to plan and coordinate project implementation in Malaysia from start to finish. You will develop schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet milestones, while ensuring documentation is maintained.

Role involves supervising installation, testing, and handover of CCTV, ELV, and security systems; managing budgets and safety compliance; and acting as the main technical contact for customers with regular status updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project implementation or engineering.
• Experience in CCTV, ELV, security systems, ICT infrastructure, networking, or data centre projects is preferred.
• Genetec / Lenel / Axis product or system / Traka software / Key Maintenance system (KMS) knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage project implementation from commencement to completion.
• Develop project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Attend project meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Ensure work complies with approved specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during project implementation.
• Ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers during project execution.
• Provide regular project status updates to customers and management.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle project documentation, approvals, and change requests.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
• Prepare project progress reports and cost updates.
• Support variation orders and claim submissions where applicable.
• Assist in procurement planning and material management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with occupational safety and health requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout the project.

• Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Projects Department.

• Experience with other security system software would be an added advantage.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously is an advantage.
