Job summary

Kawan Renergy is seeking a Project Engineer to manage engineering projects from planning through site handover. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and within budget.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least one year of project engineering experience; fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.

Project Engineer - Engineering Projects

As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate project activities from planning and engineering through site execution, commissioning and final handover. You will work closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal engineering teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and deliverables to achieve the agreed project objectives.
• Coordinate project teams and activities in accordance with established procedures, technical requirements and customer expectations.
• Prepare, monitor and update project plans, schedules, cost estimates, resource requirements and project timelines.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective or preventive actions when potential delays, risks or technical issues are identified.
• Coordinate project completion, including documentation, testing, commissioning, handover and customer acceptance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, regulations, specifications and industry best practices.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to support smooth project execution.
• Support engineering design, technical troubleshooting and site activities when required.
• Identify practical cost‑saving opportunities without compromising safety, quality or project performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least one year of experience in project engineering, project management or a related engineering role is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong potential, initiative and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering codes, standards, regulations and industry practices.
• Strong critical‑thinking, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Curious, hands‑on, resourceful and able to take initiative.
