Job summary

Changkat Ressam Engineering Sdn Bhd based in Selangor, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to lead engineering projects from planning and execution through commissioning and handover.

You will review requirements, drawings, and specifications, prepare schedules and resources, coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors, and supervise field teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engineering projects from planning through handover.
• Review requirements, drawings, and documents for customer compliance.
• Prepare schedules, work plans, and material/manpower requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, and start-up at customer sites.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and subcontractors.
• Prepare service, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance reports.
• Support handover, warranty activities, and post-project service.
• Maintain relationships and provide after-sales technical support.

Job description

Prepare project schedules, work plans, manpower requirements, and material requirements.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities at customer sites.

Conduct site inspections and monitor work progress, quality, and safety requirements.

Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Prepare service reports, commissioning reports, inspection reports, maintenance records, and other technical documentation.

Follow up on outstanding technical issues and ensure proper closure and customer satisfaction.

Support project handover, warranty activities, and post-project service requirements.

Maintain good working relationships with customers and provide professional after-sales technical support.
