Job summary

OKG JITSU MARKETING SDN. BHD. is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Malaysia.

You will handle project costing, tender preparation, take-offs, claims, variation orders and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves preparing cost estimates from drawings, sourcing quotations, analysing bids, evaluating variations, and processing progress payments while coordinating with managers, clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong knowledge and willingness to learn may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings and quantity take-off.
• Familiar with tendering, costing, claims and variation orders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-off and cost estimates based on drawings and project requirements.
• Prepare tender documents, quotations and project budgets.
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyse and compare quotations and prepare cost comparison.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders and additional works.
• Prepare progress claims and payment applications.
• Monitor project costs and ensure proper cost control.
• Assist in contract administration and project documentation.
• Prepare final accounts and project cost summaries.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
