Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Diploma or Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor to support pre- and post-contract work, tender documentation, cost planning, budget estimation, tender evaluation, and preparation of bills of quantities.

You will assist in progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders, final accounts, and monthly cost tracking. The role requires site inspections, procurement liaison, and travel to project meetings to ensure delivery on time and within contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Survey or relevant discipline.
• Working experience in construction industry is preferable
• Familiar with measurement/taking off, project costing and contract administration
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Possess own transport and willing to travel for project meetings or site visits when required.
• Good working attitude, ability to organise, plan and work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pre and post contract work.
• Preparation of tenders documents, cost planning, budget estimate, evaluation of tenders, measurements, bills of quantities and preparation of sub-contract certificates.
• Assist in preparing progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders, and final accounts
• Accurately estimate the quantity and costs of labor, materials, and machinery.
• Develop cost plans, estimates, and cash flow projections to ensure project success.
• Monitor and track monthly project progress and cost status.
• Participate in site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to budgets and smooth project execution.
• Liaising with site and assist in material procurement and material schedule control and to ensure projects are delivered according to timeline and contract requirements.
