Job summary

Sinotrans Malaysia is seeking a Project & Freight Operations professional to coordinate logistics for Air, Sea and Land shipments, manage bookings and schedules, and liaise with clients and vendors. The role requires robust on-site coordination and strong problem-solving skills.

You will work closely with the BD team for quotations, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with SOPs and ISO 9001 standards. Working location is Setia Alam, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred.
• Experience in project logistics, port operations or on-site operations is an added advantage.
• Must communicate effectively in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu; Mandarin proficiency is mandatory.

Job description

Project & Freight Operations

• Coordinate project logistics and freight operations, including Air, Sea and Land shipments.
• Coordinate shipment bookings, documentation, transport arrangements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor project schedules, shipment milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, transporters, ports and site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Support on-site activities and coordinate with relevant authorities when required.
• Proactively resolve operational delays, discrepancies and project-related issues.

Support Functions

• Handle customer inquiries and operational requirements, and maintain good relationships with clients.
• Work closely with the BD team to prepare quotations and support tender processes.
• Coordinate billing, payment collection and vendors’ invoices with the relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, system records and progress reports.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company SOPs, ISO 9001 requirements and KPIs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Possess at least Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent;
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry is preferred.
• Experience in project logistics, port operations or on-site operations will be an added advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is mandatory as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and teams.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel or support on-site operations when required.
