Job summary

Trees Engineering Malaysia seeks a senior professional to lead risk identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation across heavy engineering projects. You will shape risk controls and ensure timely reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, at least eight years in project controls or management within EPC/EPCI environments, and strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of project risks and opportunities across heavy engineering projects. Ensure risk controls and response plans are properly implemented, monitored and reported to project leadership and key stakeholders.

• Identify financial, operational, contractual, legal, strategic and reputational project risks.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to determine risk severity and potential impact.
• Establish and maintain project risk registers, mitigation strategies and control measures.
• Ensure appropriate risk response actions are approved, assigned and implemented.
• Monitor risk response action plans and provide guidance when progress deviates from plan.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls throughout project execution.
• Prepare accurate risk reports for management and stakeholder review.
• Support the Project Control Manager or Risk Manager in achieving project risk objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum eight years of experience in project controls or project management within heavy engineering projects.
• Experience in EPC, EPCIC, EPCC or EPCI project environments.
• Strong knowledge of project risk management and project execution.
• Familiarity with project costing, scheduling and contracts.
• Strong analytical, reporting, stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Able to demonstrate integrity, business awareness and effective execution.
