Job summary

Malakoff is seeking an Executive, Contract Management & Commercial (Project) to join the Project Management Services Department in Malaysia. You will support EPC/EPCC contracts, assess risks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.

The role requires a engineering degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience, with familiarity in FIDIC and SAP considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to the role.
• 2–5 years of experience in contract management, commercial, quantity surveying, or project controls.
• Experience with EPC/EPCC contracts is highly preferred.
• Exposure to power generation, renewables, utilities, infra, or construction projects is a plus.
• Strong contract administration, commercial management, and procurement knowledge.
• Familiarity with FIDIC or other standard forms is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; SAP or PM tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support administration and management of EPC/EPCC contracts from award to completion.
• Review, interpret, and manage contract terms and project documentation.
• Assist in assessing contractual risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, claims, and EOTs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management, legal, and finance teams.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and commercial performance against targets.
• Assist in tender evaluation, contract negotiations, and awards.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain accurate contract records and project documentation.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution through contract administration.
