Job summary

Malakoff Corporation Berhad is seeking a Contract Manager to support large scale power plant development projects. You will manage project contracts, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and safeguard the company’s commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Law degree with 7–10 years of contract management experience, and strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills in energy/EPC environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in contract management.
• Experience in energy, power plant, infrastructure, or large scale EPC projects will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and project contracting practices.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of project contracts and agreements
• Provide contractual and commercial support to project teams throughout project execution
• Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes where necessary
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including project, legal, procurement, and finance teams
• Maintain proper contract documentation and administration
