Job summary

URBAN CATALYST ARCHITECTURE SDN BHD is seeking a skilled architect to translate client briefs into compelling design concepts and detailed construction drawings. You will collaborate with the Director and design teams to develop designs from concept through documentation, ensuring architectural integrity and client satisfaction.

The role demands strong presentation and communication abilities, project management skills, and the capability to work autonomously while coordinating with consultants

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with Directors and design teams during development phases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director or Head of Team in the design development phase.
• Develop detailed architectural drawings, specifications and documentation.
• Manage projects from inception to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with project consultants, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision and initiative.
• Communicate design ideas effectively to clients and team.
• Adapt to varying project requirements and stay updated with industry trends.
• Be proactive in problem-solving to keep project objectives on track.

Design Skills: Must possess a strong understanding of scale and proportion in design. Ability to conceptualize and create designs that fulfill client requirements while adhering to architectural principles.

Understanding of Brief: Ability to comprehend client briefs and translate them into actionable design plans. Ensure that design solutions align with client expectations and project goals.

Design Process: Collaborate with Director or Head of Team in the design development phase. Offer creative input, contribute ideas, and participate in brainstorming sessions to refine design concepts.

Detailing Development: Responsible for developing detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation. Ensure that design details are accurately communicated and implemented during the construction phase.

Project Management: Take charge of projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with project consultants, contractors, and other sub-contractors to ensure seamless project delivery within specified timelines and budgets.

Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Take initiative, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively, while keeping project objectives in mind.

Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to articulate design ideas, present proposals to clients, and liaise with project team effectively.

Adaptability and Learning: Display a "plug-n-play" attitude, being adaptable to different project requirements, methodologies, and software tools. Show willingness to learn and stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in architecture.
