Job summary

China State Construction Engineering Corporation Malaysia is seeking a proactive architectural design professional to support development from concept to detailed design for complex building projects, including high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

The role involves ensuring adherence to client requirements, local regulations, and building codes, while coordinating with C&S, M&E, and other disciplines to achieve integrated designs and practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline (LAM recognition preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in building design within consultancy or property development environment.
• Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use building projects.
• Familiar with architectural detailing, construction methods, and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Support architectural engineering design development from concept to detailed design for building projects (high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use developments).
• Ensure all design works comply with client requirements, local authority regulations, building codes, and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with Civil & Structural (C&S), Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), and other disciplines to ensure proper design integration.
• Assist in reviewing design coordination issues and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in space planning, layout optimization, circulation, accessibility, and functionality studies.
• Support coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure design aligns with sustainability requirements and project standards.
• Check architectural materials, finishes, and detailing for suitability in construction.
• Support senior engineers/architects in design development and problem-solving tasks.
