Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver operational training for production staff. The role includes creating materials, conducting sessions, and assessing trainer performance to support continuous improvement and compliance.

You will oversee planning for line trainers, conduct onboarding and job-specific training, and ensure records and certifications are kept current.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Education or HR preferred.
• Proven experience as production trainer, leader or instructor in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating and overseeing training programs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs for new hires, line trainers and operational staff.
• Oversee coordination and planning of tasks for line trainers.
• Follow up on progress of line trainers and trainees with guidance.
• Conduct onboarding, job-specific training, cross-training, retraining and recertification.
• Assess trainees and line trainers via tests and observations with constructive feedback.
• Maintain records of attendance, assessment results and completion of training.
• Ensure training programs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and requirements.
• Develop and update training materials and visual aids for the line.
• Prepare weekly progress reports on training activities.
• Promote participation in zero-defect culture and improvement ideas.
• Mentor and coach line trainers for professional growth.
