Job summary

Aemulus Corporation Sdn Bhd in Penang, Bayan Lepas is seeking a Production Test Operator to perform production testing and verification according to approved procedures. You will operate test stations and equipment, record results with SN traceability, and report failures to the Test Technician/Engineer.

The role requires basic education and willingness to learn, with overtime and weekend shifts when production demands arise.

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing, functional testing, verification, and calibration per WI and test procedures.
• Operate test stations, fixtures, test software, and measurement equipment per defined requirements.
• Ensure correct test program, DCS/software version, fixture, cable, and equipment before testing.
• Record test results with proper SN and data traceability.
• Identify PASS and FAIL units and report issues to supervisor.
• Retest according to approved procedures or instructions.
• Support basic test setup, fixture and cable connections, and equipment prep.
• Follow production schedule and priorities set by the Test Leader.
• Maintain 5S, ESD control, and housekeeping at the test area.
• Ensure test equipment is within calibration/verification period.
• Support overtime, weekday extended shifts, or weekend shifts when required.
• Follow company safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Perform other test-related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Production Test Operator is responsible for performing production testing according to approved test procedures and work instructions. The role ensures products are tested correctly, test results are properly recorded, and any failures or abnormalities are promptly reported to the Test Technician/Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Perform product testing, functional testing, verification, and calibration activities according to approved Work Instructions (WI) and test procedures.

Operate test stations, test fixtures, test software, and measurement equipment according to defined requirements.

Ensure the correct test program, DCS/software version, fixture, cable, and equipment are used before starting testing.

Record test results and maintain proper unit serial number (SN) and test data traceability.

Identify and segregate PASS and FAIL units correctly.

Report any test failure, abnormal result, equipment issue, or repeated failure to the Test Technician/Engineer or Test Leader.

Perform retesting only according to the approved test procedure or instruction.

Support basic test setup, fixture connection, cable connection, and equipment preparation.

Follow the production schedule and priority assigned by the Test Leader.

Maintain good 5S, ESD control, and housekeeping at the test area.

Ensure test equipment used is within its valid calibration/verification period.

Support overtime, weekday extended shifts, or weekend shifts when required to meet production demand.

Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.

Perform other production/test-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma or equivalent.

Fresh graduates or candidates without previous test experience are welcome to apply.

Basic understanding of electronic products or manufacturing is an advantage.

Basic computer skills and ability to operate test software.

Able to follow Work Instructions and test procedures accurately.

Able to understand basic English instructions; Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Willing to learn different products and test processes.

Able to work independently after training.

Good discipline, attendance, and sense of responsibility.

Willing to work overtime, shifts, and weekends when required.
