Job summary

Vipicks Resources Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Production Support Engineer to manage application support, incident handling, SLA adherence, and platform monitoring. You will partner with project teams to resolve recurring issues and ensure smooth production transitions.

The role requires IBM Ace developer knowledge, IBM MQ basics, Postman API testing, and familiarity with Oracle RDMS and JBoss. Occasional extra hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or professional qualification in Information Technology or relevant studies.
• At least 2 years of development experience in complete system development life cycle.
• At least 2 years of experience in production support.
• IBM Ace developer and application support knowledge.
• IBM MQ admin/Developer basic knowledge.
• Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
• Experience with AIX server commands and log review.
• Experience with Oracle RDMS and JBoss/Web servers.

Responsibilities

• Address production issues according to the SLA.
• Provide applications support including service packs and upgrades.
• Maintain documentation and incident management procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments for knowledge transfer and production transitions.
• Conduct platform monitoring and performance tuning.
• Investigate complex issues with project teams and implement solutions.
• Share knowledge across the support team and ensure timely reporting.
• Participate in peer reviews and maintain professionalism under timelines.
