Job summary

VS Industry Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor for Metal Stamping, Injection Moulding and Assembly. You will supervise operators, plan daily production and allocate resources to meet quality and delivery targets.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, solving issues with Engineering and Quality teams, and driving 5S and continuous improvement. Rolling shift in Senai, Johor, with a focus on safety and effective handovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in Metal Stamping, Injection Moulding or Assembly preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO, 5S, safety and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production operators to meet daily output and quality targets.
• Plan daily activities, allocate manpower, and manage machine utilization.
• Monitor WIP and progress to align with customer schedules.
• Resolve daily production and process issues with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct shift meetings and ensure smooth handover of status.
• Prepare daily production reports and monitor KPIs.
• Drive 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction in production area.
• Coach operators through on-the-job training and maintain safe work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production operators to achieve daily output, quality, productivity, cycle time, and delivery targets.
• Plan and monitor daily production activities, manpower allocation, machine utilization and material flow to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor WIP and production progress and ensure production schedules are achieved according to customer requirements.
• Identify and resolve daily production, quality, machine and process issues by working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Technical and Management teams.
• Conduct shift meetings and ensure proper handover of production status, issues and follow-up actions between shifts.
• Prepare and review daily production reports, monitor key performance indicators and escalate issues requiring further action.
• Drive 5S, continuous improvement, productivity improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization within the production area.
• Coach and develop operators through on-the-job training, while maintaining a safe, disciplined, and positive working environment.

Job Requirements

• SPM, Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Metal Stamping, Injection Moulding, Assembly, Fabrication or related industries is preferred.
• Good knowledge of production processes, manpower planning, quality control, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Basic knowledge of ISO, 5S, safety, and production documentation.
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Work on a rolling shift pattern in Senai, Johor.
