Job summary

Chuan Sin in Taiping, Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production on the assigned shift, ensure targets are met, and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.

Role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Technology, or related field, and 3–5 years in manufacturing with prior supervisory experience preferred. Weekend shifts may be required; FMCG/beverage experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production activities during the assigned shift.
• Ensure production targets, output, and deadlines are met.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance if issues arise.
• Minimize downtime and optimize workflow efficiency.
• Lead, assign, and monitor tasks for operators and line workers.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and manage shift schedules.
• Train new employees and provide coaching.
• Handle basic HR issues like attendance, discipline and performance feedback.
• Ensure products meet company and regulatory quality standards.
• Monitor processes to reduce defects and waste.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and audits.
• Enforce workplace safety rules and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP.
