Job summary

Double Billion Bakery Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Production Leader to oversee daily production activities in a bakery environment in Semenyih, Malaysia. You will arrange manpower, monitor output and ensure compliance with SOP, GMP, HACCP and halal requirements.

The role requires leadership, shift adaptability, and hands-on supervision to meet daily targets while maintaining hygiene and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food manufacturing, bakery or production environment is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Production Leader, Line Leader or Production Supervisor is an advantage.
• Able to lead and manage production workers.
• Good understanding of production processes, hygiene and food safety.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends or public holidays when required.
• Responsible, disciplined, hands-on and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Arrange manpower and assign workers according to the daily production plan.
• Monitor production output, efficiency, product quality and wastage.
• Ensure all products are produced according to approved SOP, recipe, specifications and production procedures.
• Ensure production workers follow GMP, HACCP, Halal, hygiene and food safety requirements at all times.
• Conduct daily briefing and clearly communicate production targets and work arrangements to workers.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline and work performance.
• Ensure proper hand washing, PPE, uniform and personal hygiene before entering and while working in the production area.
• Monitor raw material usage and immediately report any shortage, abnormal usage or incorrect material.
• Ensure production records, checklists and related documents are completed accurately.
• Coordinate with QC/QA, Warehouse, Maintenance and Production Planning on daily production matters.
• Immediately report product defects, machine breakdowns, production delays, contamination risks or other abnormalities.
• Take immediate corrective action when production issues occur and escalate serious issues to management.
• Ensure production equipment, tools and working areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Monitor and control product wastage, material wastage and rework.
• Ensure proper line clearance and housekeeping before, during and after production.
• Train and guide new and existing production workers on SOP, hygiene, safety and work procedures.
• Identify areas for improvement in productivity, manpower utilization, quality and production efficiency.
• Assist in stock count and production-related inventory checking when required.
• Perform any other production-related duties assigned by management.
