Job summary

AFN Sports Equipment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and supervise production operations across assigned shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time output.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production supervision.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills: data entry, emails.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities.

• Monitor product quality and compliance with standards.
• Lead, motivate, and guide production operators.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To lead and supervise production operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with company standards. The role involves managing manpower, monitoring processes, and resolving issues to achieve production targets.

Production Management

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities.


• Ensure adherence to production schedules and meet output targets.


• Allocate manpower and resources effectively to maintain workflow.

Quality and Compliance

• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.


• Escalate non-conformities to the Quality team.


• Enforce safety, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.


• Lead, motivate, and guide production operators.


• Conduct briefings and communicate production goals and updates.


• Address employee concerns and maintain discipline within the team.

Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement

• Respond promptly to equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.


• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams for quick resolution.


• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.


• Monitor and record daily worker attendance for the shift.


• Handle attendance discrepancies and report to HR for payroll accuracy.


• Coordinate with HR for worker permits, leave approvals, and related documentation.

Reporting and Documentation

• Complete reports on production output, downtime, and manpower utilization.


• Ensure accurate documentation for traceability and audits.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.


• 3-5 years of experience in production supervision, preferably in a high-mix low-volume manufacturing environment.


• Strong leadership and communication skills.


• Basic computer skills: able to use laptop, data entry, emails etc.


• Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting tools will be an advantage.


• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and safety regulations will be an advantage.
