Job summary

Lumileds International in Malaysia is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead daily manufacturing operations across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and people development. You will guide teams to meet targets while upholding high standards of safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in manufacturing with 1–2 years in leadership, understands electronics or precision manufacturing, and uses data to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 1–2 years of leadership/supervisory experience, such as Shift Lead, Line Leader, or Assistant Supervisor.
• Experience in electronics, cleanroom, precision manufacturing, or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Experience managing production KPIs and delivering improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Able to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and lead a diverse production team.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to achieve business objectives across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory, and People Development (SQCDIP).
• Ensure a safe working environment through regular safety walkabouts, procedures, risk assessments, and timely closure of unsafe conditions.
• Maintain product quality by monitoring defects, ensuring process compliance, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Control production costs by optimizing manpower, materials, energy, and equipment utilization while minimizing waste and downtime.
• Ensure daily production targets and customer delivery commitments are met through planning, resource allocation, and addressing issues.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels by controlling raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, ensuring stock accuracy.

What You Will Do:

Quality: Maintain product quality by monitoring defects, ensuring process compliance, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Cost: Control production costs by optimizing manpower, materials, energy consumption, and equipment utilization while minimizing waste and downtime.

Delivery: Ensure daily production targets and customer delivery commitments are achieved through effective planning, resource allocation, UPH OEE and timely resolution of operational issues.

Inventory: Maintain optimal inventory levels by controlling raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods while ensuring stock accuracy and minimizing excess inventory, shortages, and obsolete stock.

People Development: Develop a competent and high-performing team through regular coaching, skills training, performance monitoring, succession planning, and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring (RequiredQualifications):
