Private Advertiser is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor in Malaysia to oversee daily production activities, ensuring targets, quality, and on-time delivery. You will manage operators and technicians across rotating shifts and supervise CNC machining and surface treatment processes.
The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years in manufacturing, including 1–2 years in supervision; CNC and surface treatment experience is preferred.
Supervise daily production activities to achieve production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery.
Manage and coordinate production operators and technicians during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee CNC machining and secondary processes, ensuring efficient machine operation and output meeting customer specifications.
Supervise surface treatment activities to ensure adherence to process parameters, quality requirements, and operational standards.
Monitor production performance, machine utilization, and manpower productivity to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure all production work follows work instructions, quality requirements, safety regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate manpower allocation, shift scheduling, workflow arrangements, and conduct shift briefings to communicate priorities and safety updates.
Investigate production issues (e.g., process deviations, downtime, quality concerns), review KPIs/reporting, implement corrective/preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement, including training and 5S/EHS compliance.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in CNC machining operations and/or surface treatment processes is preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production control, quality systems, and workplace safety requirements.
Willingness to work rotational shifts and overtime when required
