About the Role

We are seeking an analytical, strategic, and detail-oriented Production Planning Manager to oversee and optimize our manufacturing schedules. In this role, you will bridge the gap between sales demand and manufacturing capacity, ensuring our production lines run efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.

The ideal candidate possesses strong forecasting skills, master scheduling expertise, and a proven track record of balancing machine, material, and manpower capacities to meet customer demands without overextending resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, historic data, and plant capacity.
• Analyze plant, machinery, and labor constraints to perform rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) and prevent manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, and Logistics teams to review demand forecasts and adjust production timelines dynamically.
• Review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) outputs to ensure raw materials and components align perfectly with scheduled production runs.
• Track, analyze, and report on key manufacturing metrics, including Plan Attainment, On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery, and asset utilization.
• Identify inefficiencies in the planning workflow and implement continuous improvement strategies (Lean/Six Sigma) to minimize lead times and waste.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and expert-level Excel skills.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, excellent cross-departmental communication, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
