Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Production Planning professional to lead master planning, MRP readiness and ERP control in a manufacturing environment.
You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production to ensure on-time materials, schedules, and KPI reporting, while developing the PPC team and driving continuous improvement. Diploma in relevant field and minimum 5 years' supervision experience required.
1. Master Production Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain production plans and schedules based on MTO/MTS demand, priorities, capacity and delivery requirements.
Sequence production according to material availability, engineering readiness and production capacity.
Identify and elevate scheduling conflicts, constraints and delivery risks.
2. Material Requirements Planning & Readiness
Review MRP requirements and identify material shortages, timing gaps and critical material risks.
Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure timely material availability.
Monitor inventory levels and identify excess, slow-moving or duplicated requirements.
3. Production Readiness Coordination
Ensure BOMs, routings, drawings, materials, manpower and capacity are ready before production release.
Coordinate readiness with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality and other relevant departments.
Identify constraints and recommend schedule adjustments or escalation where required.
4. ERP & Production Order Control
Create, review, release and maintain production orders and planning data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Verify production order details, including dates, quantities, BOMs, routings and planning references.
Monitor planning exceptions and maintain accurate, traceable planning records.
5. Production Progress & Exception Management
Monitor production progress against planned schedules and delivery requirements.
Identify delays, bottlenecks, shortages and other production exceptions and assess their impact.
Coordinate recovery actions, re-planning and escalation to maintain schedule visibility.
Provide planning analysis, KPI reports and updates to support management decision-making.
Review and improve PPC processes, ERP usage, planning methods and controls.
Standardize planning practices and implement improvements to reduce errors, omissions and rework.
7. Cross-Functional PPC Coordination
Lead coordination with Sales, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and Quality to align priorities and constraints.
Strengthen communication, planning discipline, ownership and hand-offs across departments.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance PPC responsiveness and end-to-end production flow.
8. PPC Team Supervision & Development
Allocate team responsibilities and priorities according to workload and operational requirements.
Coach and develop team members on PPC principles, ERP usage, planning controls and coordination.
Monitor work quality and KPI performance while addressing gaps and supporting team development.
Diploma in Production Planning, Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in production planning, material planning or manufacturing operations including supervisory or team-lead responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of PPC, MRP / MPS, capacity planning and production scheduling
Good understanding of BOMs, routings, production orders, lead times, inventory and material planning.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritisation, rescheduling and escalation skills
Good ERP discipline, manufacturing master-data knowledge and planning-parameter control.
Ability to monitor KPIs, analyse plan-versus-actual performance and communicate risks clearly.
Strong cross-functional coordination, team supervision, stakeholder management and continuous-improvement skills.
