Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. in Shah Alam invites a seasoned Production Planning Lead to drive end-to-end planning for Integration, Plastics and TCU operations, balancing demand, capacity and inventory while coordinating closely with Operations, Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality.

You will develop and maintain schedules, monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, lead a planning team, and drive continuous improvement across material flow and planning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related discipline.
• Typically 5–8 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or materials planning.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting Integration, Plastics, TCU, or similar manufacturing operations is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and weekly production planning for Integration, Plastics, and TCU operations based on customer demand and priorities.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery requirements and targets.
• Review demand, forecasts, orders, and requirements to establish production plans.
• Monitor capacity, manpower, equipment availability, and material readiness for plan feasibility.
• Identify bottlenecks and risks and develop recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Materials/Planning to ensure timely availability of materials and consumables.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to address constraints and schedule changes.
• Monitor daily performance against plan and communicate gaps and recovery actions.
• Manage priorities and rescheduling based on demand, material availability, and equipment downtime.
• Support inventory optimization by balancing production needs with inventory levels.
• Maintain planning data, schedules, capacity, and planning parameters in the ERP system.
• Analyze KPIs and identify opportunities to improve adherence, capacity utilization, and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, and material flow.
• Provide guidance to production planners and coordinators.
• Prepare regular production planning reports and provide recommendations to Operations and management.

Lead production planning activities for Integration, Plastics, and TCU operations to ensure production requirements are met on time while optimizing capacity, manpower, materials, and inventory. The role will coordinate closely with Operations, Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to maintain an effective and responsive production plan.
